What the BLEEP do we know? This is a must see documentary film on the convergence between quantum physics, spirituality, neurology, evolutionary thought and the connection between emotions and health. I also highly recommend the second film What the Bleep? Down the Rabbit Hole which contains extended interviews with scientists and spiritual thinkers. The films have some shortcomings and limitations but all in all a great mind opening experience and intro to the importance of our beliefs and perceptions as well as the emerging realization within both the scientific community and spiritual community of the connections between them.

The Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter and Miracles
by Dr.Bruce Lipton, Ph.D
A groundbreaking work in the field of New Biology. This book explains how Lipton's experiments have revealed that genes do not in fact control our behavior. Instead genes are turned on and off by influences outside the cell.
These influences include our perceptions and beliefs. He shows that our beliefs, true or false, positive or negative, affect genetic activity and can alter our genetic code. A foundational book for those interested in the new rapid healing techniques of which EFT and PSYCH-K are only two.
The Genie in Your Genes: Epigenetic Medicine and the New Biology of Intention
by Dawson Church Ph.D
Church applies the insights of the new field of Epigenetics (epi=above, i.e. control above the level of the gene) to healing. Citing hundreds of scientific studies, he shows how beliefs and emotions can trigger the expression of DNA strands. He focuses on a class of genes called Immediate Early Genes or IEGs. These genes turn on within a few seconds of a stimulus. They can be triggered by thoughts or emotions. Many IEGs are regulatory genes turn on other genes that affect specific aspects of our immune system, such as the production of white blood cells that destroy attacking bacteria and viruses. Epigenetics thus influences our health every day.

The Energy Healing Experiments
by Gary E. Schwartz Ph.D
Are energy fields real? And if so, can they be used for healing and health? Yes, according to Schwartz, a professor of psychology, surgery, medicine, neurology and psychiatry at the University of Arizona. He tells marvelous stories of such healings and uses experiments to confirm that the human body is a bundle of energy that can be healed by another such bundle of energy.
The Promise of Energy Psychology
by David Feinstein, Donna Eden and Gary Craig
In the first half of this book, EFT is described and then shown by example how it can be used in a variety of situations. The writeup of the technique itself is explained simply enough that a layperson can understand. The second half expands on this information by including ways to energize and balance the body's health, immune system function, etc, using other energy techniques. This is a good intro to energy psychology and a great reference book.
Adventures in EFT: Your Essential Guide to Emotional Freedom
by Silvia Hartmann.
In this extremely well written book are all the key skills and understandings needed to bring EFT to life. The many case histories are inspiring and educational; each one highlights an aspect of EFT in a very entertaining fashion. Highly recommended for newbies and seasoned EFTers alike.
The Molecules of Emotion: The Science Behind Mind-body Medicine
by Candace Pert, PhD
Pert, a self-described "catalyst in the mindbodyspirit revolution in modern medical science," and once a chief of brain chemistry at the NIH, intermingles stories of her professional and personal life with her theories about neuropeptides, the "molecules of emotion". This book explains Pert's work in finding the molecules of emotion and how they can affect health.

The Field: The Quest for the Secret Force of the Universe
by Lynne Mctaggert.
In this groundbreaking book McTaggart, an investigative journalist, describes scientific discoveries that she believes point to a unifying concept of the universe, one that reconciles mind with matter, classic Newtonian science with quantum physics and, most importantly, science with spirituality. This is the concept of the zero point field, a "cobweb of energy exchange" that links everything in the universe. Fun to read as well as amazing and interesting information.
Motherless Daughers: The Legacy of Loss
by Hope Edelman
Writing of her own experiences of losing her mother when she was 17, and the grief of hundreds of women she interviewed who lost their mothers through death, abandonment or another form of separation, freelance writer Edelman marshals a wealth of anecdotal evidence, supplemented with psychological research about bereavement, that indicates that one's longing for a mother never disappears. Though the focus is on early loss for girls and the implications for their developing identity, adult daughters also speak in these pages to provide another poignant perspective. The author succeeds in opening up cathartic dialogues, personalizing a life-changing event and offering guidelines to help women of any age live with their loss.
